We have all kinds of yoga at Pelan Pelan retreat. We choose and combine various yoga styles depending on the guests' requests. The yoga classes are given in small groups and great for all levels and ages. Our teachers have extensive experience with the following types of yoga:

VINYASA FLOW YOGA

Vinyasa is the term used to describe a specific sequence of poses: Chaturanga to Upward-Facing Dog to Downward-Facing Dog , the poses are commonly used throughout a class. During the yoga class you will coordinate movement with your breath flowing smoothly from one pose to the next. Ashtanga, Baptiste, Jivamukti, Power and Prana Flow could all be considered as Vinyasa Yoga.

RESTORATIVE YOGA

Restorative yoga supports you to completely relax and rest, with a mix of only 6 different poses. Restorative poses include light twists, seated forward folds, and gentle backbends. These yoga poses can be combined with meditation.

YIN YOGA

Yin yoga is a style of yoga in which poses are being held for longer periods of time (around five minutes per pose). This practice helps you to sit more comfortably for a longer stretch of time.

HATHA YOGA

Hatha Yoga refers to the practice of physical yoga postures. So your Asthanga, Vinyasa, Iyengar and Power Yoga classes are all Hatha Yoga. "Hatha" means "willful" or "forceful", the practices are designed to calm your body, mind and spirit. Hatha Yoga is also a good preparation for meditation.
