Old Man’s
The nowadays famous bar Old Man’s is called by this wave. The wave is according to his name breaking like an old man, slow but sure. There is a big channel to paddle out, which makes the wave perfect for a beginner as well as intermediate surfers. This wave is a frame wave breaking to the right and left. With mid to high tide you can have a lot of fun with long rides.
Tugu temple or Batu Bolong
In front of Canggu’s beach temple Tugu, there is a semi beach break that works perfectly with the mid or high tide for beginners surfers. In the inside the wave reforms, which is ideal for first time surfers to catch the whitewater. Don’t expect the waves for yourself, this break attracts a lot of beginners that don’t know about the surf rules and that go out without a surf guide, very dangerous! This means you have to be careful in the water.
Canggu right or Sandbar
Sandbar break is a semi beach break. Which means reef covered by sand. Same as the famous Echo beach break, this spot is great for intermediate to advanced surfers. The waves are powerful and run both right and left. After a surf at Sandbar, you can enjoy the bbq and a cold Bintang at Echo beach at one of the local warungs, looking over the ocean.
